
About Constantinos Evangelidis
Constantinos Evangelidis was born in Athens, where he lives and works as a pianist, composer, orchestrator, and piano teacher. He studied Piano at the Athens Conservatory with Dora Bakopoulou, earning his Soloist/Teacher Diploma in January 2003. He also studied Advanced Music Theory (Fugue, Counterpoint, Special Harmony, and Orchestration) at the Central Conservatory with Babis Kanas, where he received the corresponding diplomas. Additionally, he studied graphic design at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens.
Over the past 20 years, he has worked in theater as a composer for more than 20 productions, collaborating with directors such as Thanasis Sarantou, Enke Fezolari, Theodoris Goni, Vasilis Nikolaidis, and others, for the National Theatre, National Theatre of Northern Greece, Onassis Stegi, Municipal and Regional Theaters, and independent theater scenes.

As an orchestrator, he has collaborated on theatrical works such as The Hypochondriac (dir. Vasilis Nikolaidis), Much Ado About Nothing, and Don Camillo (dir. Th. Theologis, Crete Regional Theatre), featuring music by Manolis Manousakis.
He has composed music for films, including the feature film Too Much Info Clouding Over My Head by Vasilis Christofilakis and the short films Diaplous, Evergreen, The Seed by Ifigeneia Kotsoni, and Pet by Christos Moraitis, among others. In 2012, he was awarded at the Drama Festival for his music in Evergreen by Ifigeneia Kotsoni. He has also composed music for documentaries, advertising films, multimedia projects, and radio spots.
In television, he has worked as an orchestrator, composer, and music producer. Since 2012, he has been involved in children’s theater, composing music for productions by the Morphes Ekfrasis Theatre, the Serres Municipal Theatre, and others. In 2020, he released the album The Paper Hot Air Balloon, based on the performance by Anna Tzima. That same year, commissioned by the ERT Contemporary Orchestra, he composed music for the fairy tale The Lucky Flaw by the theater group FLOU for Greek Radio.
In 2013, he was distinguished in the Song Competitions organized by the Hellenic Plan at the Stage of Letters and Arts. Since then, he has presented commissioned works at the Stage, including Musical Creations (Tribute to revolutionary poets D. Solomos, A. Kalvos, Lord Byron – 2021), Poetry Set to Music(2015), World Myths Turned into Songs (2016), and Let’s Talk (2017).
His works have been presented at the ERT (collaborating with the Contemporary Music Orchestra), the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the Stage of Letters and Arts, the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation, the Olympia Theatre, the French Institute of Athens, and more. As a pianist, he has collaborated with numerous musical ensembles and singer-songwriters, performing in concerts in Greece and abroad.
Since 2003, he has worked as a piano and music theory teacher, teaching Advanced Music Theory either as a freelancer or in collaboration with conservatories and music institutions, including the Central Conservatory (2005-2008), the University of Indianapolis (2006-2007), the Amarousio Municipal Conservatory (2009-2017), and the Erateio Conservatory (2017-present).
